Visual voice Meeting May 27, 2009 Present: Bob, Johnty, Sid, Allison, Dave, Martin, Adriano, Karl, Cam, Eric

Karl: working on the Holmes algorithm synthesizer, refactoring from C to C++. Implementing data logging for regression testing. Has had some success in finding errors, etc. Hopeful that if he can find a few more errors there will be significant improvement. Will then start working on interface issues and will hand that over to Cam.

Cam: working on coding classes – RBF calculator class, vowel mapper class which will become consonant mapper and decision network. Some issues with standard deviation as it gets close to zero.

Johnty: implementing objects for serial drivers for the new system. Has multithreading working in C++. Working on parsing and error checking the data at present. Discussion followed on approaches to problem solving and analysis of results.

Allison: has completed the data recorder/logger but there is a problem with the Patriot frames being out of sync with the Cyberglove due to different sampling rates. LONG discussion following methods of dealing with this and how to solve the problem. Karl, Sid and Allison will work on this.

David: working with Meryn on the next piece, coding some Max/MSP patches to see what is possible with the system.

Martin and Adriano are still awaiting data...

Bob: developing the Pittsburgh poster in manga style. Needs some sentences from Sid to finish things off.
